Pick a PSX stock and an amount to see the dividend income after tax, and what reinvesting it does over the years. Updated 7 Nov 2026.
Choose a PSX stock, the amount you want to invest and the number of years. The calculator takes the cash dividends the company paid over the last 12 months and its five-year dividend growth rate, deducts withholding tax and shows the yearly and monthly income, the total over the period and, if you choose to reinvest, how many extra shares the dividends buy. It assumes the share price stays where it is, so the result shows income, not capital gains.
Dividend yield = Dividends per share over 12 months / Share price × 100. Yearly income after tax = Amount invested × Dividend yield × (1 − tax rate). PSX companies usually announce dividends as a percentage of the Rs 10 face value: a 50% dividend is Rs 5 a share.
Rs 1,000,000 in LOTCHEM at Rs 24.43 buys about 40,933 shares. With a dividend yield of 21.8%, that is about Rs 1.85 lakh a year after 15% tax, or roughly Rs 15,449 a month. The table shows the highest-yielding KSE-100 companies that paid a cash dividend in at least 8 of the last 10 years.

Dividends are taxed at source: the company deducts withholding tax before paying you. The calculator uses 15%, the usual rate for filers on the active taxpayers list; the rate is higher for non-filers and for some companies such as those that enjoy tax exemptions or pass-through status. Change the tax box to match your case.
To receive a dividend you must hold the shares before the ex-date, which falls just before the book closure period announced by the company. Shares bought on or after the ex-date trade without the dividend, and the price usually drops by about the dividend amount. Each company page on Market Pulse Hub lists recent payouts, book closures and the dividend record.
A very high yield can mean the market expects the dividend to be cut, or that last year included a one-off payout. Check the payout ratio (the share of profit paid out), the dividend history and the latest results before relying on the income. A steady yield of 7% to 10% from a company that has paid for many years is often more dependable than 20% from a single year.

Multiply the number of shares by the dividend per share, then deduct withholding tax. Or multiply the amount invested by the dividend yield and by (1 minus the tax rate).
LOTCHEM (21.8%), POL (15.0%), BAFL (13.3%), HMB (12.5%), KAPCO (12.5%) have among the highest yields in the KSE-100 with a long payout record.
Withholding tax is deducted by the company, usually 15% for filers. Non-filers and dividends from some companies are taxed at higher rates.
It means 50% of the Rs 10 face value, so Rs 5 per share, not 50% of the share price.
PSX companies pay cash, but you can use it to buy more shares. The calculator's reinvest option shows how that grows the number of shares and the income over time.
Before the ex-date, which comes just before the book closure dates the company announces.
